Companies that partner with the Make Impact Consortium help us build the makers of the future.
They recognize that universities with integrated design, innovation, making, and entrepreneurship initiatives are developing a talent pipeline.
They also understand that close-in customer feedback is invaluable as they seek to improve their products and services, and impress universities with the value and benefits of their tools.
Students who can think, do, and innovate are highly productive as employees. Students who interact with tools and services while in school often become customers and advocates as they transition to post graduate and non-academic careers.
Company talent seekers
At competition meet-the-maker, and other Consortium events, company representatives have close interactions with students from Consortium member schools. As students showcase projects, displaying their design, innovation, making, and entrepreneurship skills, companies are able to evaluate them to fill internship, co-op, and other staffing needs
Makerspace product and service providers
Companies that provide equipment and services found in makerspaces and related classrooms and campus facilities know the value of close ties with university customers. Collaborating with Make Impact Consortium member schools provides companies with access to in-process use information, as well as voice of the customer feedback.
